Senior wealth management researcher who works closely with internal and external project team members to ensure the research objectives are met.

Tony has initiated, managed, and delivered strategic research on product development, customer satisfaction, branding, pricing, and segmentation for nearly twenty years. His in-depth research experience as an internal research director and external consultant allows him to work closely with clients to select and develop the most actionable and appropriate research techniques for use in critical decision-making.

Before joining Cogent, Tony held vice president, research director, and senior analytical roles at Sun Life Financial, MFS Investment Management, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Abt Associates.  He has directed advisor and investor research on several financial products including mutual funds, ETFs, 401(k)/403(b) plans, separately managed accounts, institutional separate accounts, 529 plans, variable annuities, equity indexed annuities, and IRAs.

Tony holds a MBA degree, with a concentration in marketing, from the Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management where he graduated with honors. Tony is an NASD Registered Representative and holds Series 26 and Series 6 licenses. He is a past member of the ICI Research Committee, and LIMRA's Market Research Committee. He has been quoted in various periodicals including Wall Street Journal, US News & World Report, Money Management Executive, Research, Financial Advisor, Ignites, Fund Action, Fund Fire, Bank Investment Consultant, Private Asset Management , American Banker, and National Underwriter.He was nominated in Mutual Fund Wire's 2009 Most Influential People in Fund Distribution. He has spoken at The Center for Due Diligence (CFDD) Annual Conference, LIMRA Retirement Income Conference, FRA's Retirement Rollover Conference, FRA's Retirement Income Distribution Summit, and DST/BFDS Retirement Leadership Forum.
